Gochujang Stir Fry Sauce

The Recipe

  • 2 tbsp gochugaru

  • 1 tbsp gochujang paste

  • 1 tbsp mirin

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1/2 inch piece ginger, minced

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. To make it a little easier, combine everything but the gochujang, then mix that in after.

The Bullshit

This is my go to spicy chicken/spicy noodle sauce. You’ll see this also as Buldak, but this is my very slight riff on it. I use this one of two ways:

  1. Coat some chicken thighs with this, grill or air fy

  2. Use it as a stir fry sauce (usually with noodles, udon work best)
